Dog Code of Conduct

Dog Code of Conduct
Effective date: 23rd March 2025

At Arlington & Row Ltd, we offer luxury holiday homes, including dog-friendly and dog-free options, to suit all our guests. To keep our properties in excellent condition, we ask guests bringing dogs to follow this Dog Code of Conduct, alongside our Terms and Conditions.

Booking Your Dog

  • Notify us at booking if you’re bringing a dog—a small fee applies.
  • Dogs must be pre-booked and paid for. Unarranged dogs must be housed elsewhere at your expense.
  • By booking, you agree to this policy.

Keeping Our Homes Pristine

  • Leave the property clean and tidy on departure. Excessive mess (e.g., dog hair, mud) incurs an extra cleaning fee.
  • Don’t let dogs on furniture or in bedrooms—use provided sofa throws. Evidence of this (e.g., hair on beds) incurs a cleaning fee.
  • Wash muddy paws before entry—don’t use guest towels for dogs.
  • Damage to furniture, carpets, bedding, or towels caused by dogs will incur repair or replacement costs.

Dog Behavior and Safety

  • Dogs prone to excessive barking aren’t allowed.
  • Don’t leave dogs unattended unless they’re in their own crate (brought from home) and won’t bark or disturb others.
  • Outdoor spaces may not be fully enclosed—check perimeters before letting your dog off-lead.
  • Keep dogs on-lead in shared outdoor areas of holiday complexes and in fields with livestock, following the Countryside Code. Always maintain close control for their safety and others’ comfort.

Cleanliness

  • Clean up after your dog inside and outside (gardens, courtyards, fields). Bin waste in appropriate bags.
  • Don’t let dogs urinate on lawns.

Group Bookings

  • Dogs are restricted to the dog-friendly property they’re booked into. For them to access other properties in your group booking, those must also be dog-friendly, and the pet fee paid for each.
