The White Hart is a thoughtfully restored former village pub in Leonard Stanley, now a generous and welcoming house for group stays. Arranged over three floors, with nine bedrooms and space to sleep up to 21 guests, it’s designed for groups who want to spend time together, with room for both shared moments and quiet time.
The house retains much of its original character, balanced with modern comforts that make longer stays easy. From the front, the village green, memorial and church give a strong sense of place. To the rear, a private garden opens out towards rolling Cotswold fields, offering a softer, more rural outlook.
It’s a house that works well for family gatherings, reunions and relaxed celebrations, without feeling formal or overdone.
The main living areas are warm and comfortable, with enough space for the group to come together without everyone needing to be in the same room. A central sitting room with a fireplace provides a natural place to gather, while other spaces allow for quieter moments throughout the house.
The original pub bar has been carefully retained and now serves as a relaxed social room. It’s a natural spot for games, drinks and conversation, and one that tends to draw people back together as the day unfolds.
The kitchen is modern, well laid out and practical, designed to work easily when the house is full. It includes a Nespresso coffee machine and all the essentials needed for a comfortable group stay.

On the ground floor, there is a bedroom with a single step down and a generous en-suite, including a shower chair, providing a more accessible option for guests who prefer fewer stairs.
To the rear of the house, the private garden opens out towards open Cotswold fields. There’s space to sit, eat and unwind outdoors, with the countryside creating a calm backdrop to the stay.
The hot tub is positioned within the garden for quieter moments in the evening, and a summerhouse provides sheltered space throughout the year. To respect neighbours, guests are asked to vacate and close the hot tub by 10pm.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at The White Hart. The enclosed garden provides a safe outdoor space, and walking routes begin just beyond the church, including access to the Cotswold Way.
The village setting makes early morning and evening walks simple, without needing to get in the car.
