Full of character and carefully furnished, it balances period detail with modern comfort in a way that feels calm rather than curated.
Set just moments from the village square, the cottage works well for couples, friends or guests travelling with dogs. Inside, exposed beams and stone walls sit alongside soft textures and natural finishes. Outside, a private garden offers a peaceful place to step away from village life.
The sitting room is warm and inviting, centred around a log-burning stove. Linen sofas and muted tones create a relaxed space for evenings in, reading, or unwinding after a day out.
The kitchen is well equipped and designed for guests who enjoy cooking, with a Smeg range cooker, generous worktop space and a full set of utensils and cookware. It works equally well for simple suppers or more involved meals.
The cottage has two comfortable bedrooms, both dressed with high-quality cotton bedding for a good night’s sleep.
The bathroom is stocked with Bamford toiletries and finished in a clean, understated style. Please note that, as with many period cottages, ceiling heights are low in places — including the shower — which may not suit taller guests.

The market square is a short walk away and home to independent shops, a butcher, bakery, cafés and pubs. A monthly farmers’ market takes place on the fourth Saturday of each month. St Peter and St Paul Church sits at the heart of the village and adds to the area’s sense of history.
The cottage is well placed for exploring Oxfordshire and the wider Cotswolds.
Rousham House and Gardens, Blenheim Palace and Daylesford Organic are all within easy reach by car, as are classic Cotswold towns including Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton. Oxford is around 25 minutes away for museums, colleges and riverside walks.
